Robin Monotti Architects with Alexander Antonets have been commissioned by Donetsk Steel to design the Donetsk Metallurgical Plant Museum of Industrial Technology. The museum will be housed in the oldest existing industrial building of the Donetsk Metallurgical Plant, dating back to 1896. The plant was founded by Welsh industrialist John Hughes in 1870 and was the first Iron Works plant in Russia. The foundry within which the museum will be housed currently covers approximately 4,000 square metres on one single level.
